Over the years, Be the One has educated hundreds of thousands of students on how to have healthy relationships as well as to avoid high-risk behaviors. Emphasizing character development and leadership skills, Be the One encourages youth to say “yes” to healthy relationships and to say “no” to high-risk behaviors such as alcohol and drug use, sexual activity, and violence. Be the One values young people as strong contributors to society and knows that they can make healthy decisions when equipped with education, encouragement, support, and training. In 1976, Campus Crusade began Family Ministry to provide pre-marriage seminars for its staff members. Following our success in meeting the needs of pre-marrieds, married staff couples began asking for encouragement through marriage seminars.
