The Missions and Outreach ministry assists the members of Victory Church in fulfilling their Biblical mandate to preach the Gospel and help those that cannot help themselves. We join the financial and personal involvement of our congregation with the needs of people in our community, nationally and across the world.
The Missions Board qualifies and assesses mission organizations and outreaches, seeking the Lord's direction concerning how we and our church members can best participate and partner with worthy organizations. We present the needs of these organizations to the church family and friends, so that we may corporately assist the qualified missions with their work for humanity and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

- fetal development
- sexually transmitted diseases
- Post abortion support and peer counseling
- Life Enrichment and Parenting classes (LEAPP)
- Maternity and baby items
First Care has been a forerunner in promoting absitnence in schools through the Be the One program. Over the years, they have educated hundreds of thousands of students on how to have healthy relationships as well as to avoid high-risk behaviors. Emphasizing character development and leadership skills, Be the One encourages youth to say “yes” to healthy relationships and to say “no” to high-risk behaviors such as alcohol and drug use, sexual activity, and violence. Be the One values young people as strong contributors to society and knows that they can make healthy decisions when equipped with education, encouragement, support, and training. No matter what their past has been, Be the One sees the hope in every young person and knows that it is never too late to change one’s life. For more information, go to. www.betheone.org.
4KIDS of South Florida is a non-profit organization committed to providing a home for every child in crisis. Through a partnership of committed individuals, churches, corporations, and government agencies, 4KIDS has brought HOPE to over 17,000 children in 15 years. In our country, the most affluent in the world, we have half a million orphans—children living on the streets, in group homes, and in foster care. South Florida is no exception: every day, seven kids in South Florida are removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. 4KIDS' Vision, “A Home For Every Child in Crisis,” speaks to the solvable nature of the problem. It’s that simple. If we find a home for a child in crisis, that child finds HOPE. Over 15 years, we’ve seen this proven again and again though a partnership of committed churches, corporations, foundations, and individuals. Working collectively, we are making a difference one child at a time, and fulfilling our Mission of “Providing Hope…For Kids in Crisis.”
Teen Challenge is the oldest, largest and most successful program of its kind in the world. Established in 1958 by David Ray Wilkerson (May 19, 1931 – April 27, 2011), Teen Challenge has grown to 230 centers in the United States and more than 1,100 centers world-wide. The Teen Challenge mission is "To offer life transformation to individuals through Christ-centered programs." At Victory Church, we pay special attention to the Teen Challenge of South Florida, Davie Women's Home. This facility is overseen by Rick and Donna Fernandez who have truly been on the front lines of ministry as they have assisted women to break the cycles of addiction and life-controlling problems since 1987. They are both qualified for this work, not only because of their true love for Jesus Christ, but also because their own personal lives were turned around by completing the Teen Challenge program. Over the years, Rick and Donna have developed and refined a successful training program for women. It began as a 2-4 week crisis program that eventually grew to a 12-month program. In 1995, they purchased a 6-bedroom home on 2 acres in West Broward County and pioneered what is now known as the Teen Challenge South Florida Davie Women's Center. The leadership team includes Certified Behavioral Health Technicians, Addiction Counselors, Ordained Ministers, and are also volunteer clergy for the Broward County Sheriff. Their commitment is to comfort others with the same comfort they themselves received.
For 45 years, Sheridan House Family Ministries has provided residential care for middle-school aged children in the tri-county area of South Florida. They operate five children's homes, three for boys and two for girls. Their chief objective is to provide a caring environment in which the children develop essential life skills, accept responsibility for their behavior at home and school, and enter back into their home with parents fully educated and equipped to care for them. Sheridan House also provides support through their Counseling Center and Single Parent Ministry. The Sheridan House Counseling Center is a safe place to turn for guidance, providing confidential and professional services to families, children, and individuals. The Single Mom Ministry offers more individualized and intensive training in areas such as finances, parenting, resume preparation and interviewing skills, etc.

Other Missionaries or Organizations Supported by Victory:
Christian Law Association
Christian Law Association is supported by Victory Church on a monthly basis. CLA has served Bible-believing churches and Christians since 1969. CLA provides free legal services based in part on the generosity of God's people. The Christian Law Association is a "ministry of legal helps." Their purpose is to provide free legal assistance to Bible-believing churches and Christians who are experiencing legal difficulty in practicing their religious faith because of governmental regulation, intrusion, or prohibition of one form or another. Since 1969, the number of legal attacks on ministries has exploded. CLA receives in excess of 100,000 phone calls annually, not counting the thousands of correspondences from those who are in some way facing legal difficulties for doing what the Bible commands. These cases involve Christians arrested for witnessing to others in public, public school students being told they do not have the right to read their Bibles at school, churches being excluded from communities, Christians being fired for sharing their faith at work, and thousands of other shocking assaults on our precious religious freedoms. The Christian Law Association exists to preserve Christian liberty for your children and grandchildren.
The Mission Board of Victory Christian Center helps provide funds for students desiring to go on short term mission trips with their school or a student mission organization. To apply for mission funds, please request the application form from the church office, fill it out, and return it to Cathy Karpinen. (Mission funds are available to youth who attend Victory Christian Center.)
