The Missions and Outreach ministry assists the members of Victory Christian Center in fulfilling their Biblical mandate to preach the Gospel and help those that cannot help themselves. We join the financial and personal involvement of our congregation with the needs of people in our community, nationally and across the world.
The Missions Board qualifies and assesses mission organizations and outreaches, seeking the Lord's direction concerning how we and our church members can best participate and partner with worthy organizations. We present the needs of these organizations to the church family and friends, so that we may corporately assist the qualified missions with their work for humanity and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
PartnersTo expand the reach of Victory Christian Center outside of the four walls of our church, we have partnered with missionaries and outreach organizations. First Care – www.first-care.orgFirst Care believes in the sanctity of human life and is a resource against the "culture of death" that seems so wide spread in our society today. First Care offers:
Sheridan House – www.sheridanhouse.orgCounseling and residential services for children and their parents who are experiencing family, school or behavioral problems; also providing financial, parental, spiritual and emotional assistance to single parents through the Sheridan House Single Parent Ministry. Teen Challenge is 86% successful, the highest success rate of any program available today. God's Little Acres – www.godslittleacres.orgFor a child suffering from a life threatening illness, the innocence of childhood becomes a world of doctors, hospitals, and medical treatments. For a child with a physical or developmental disability, life is a challenge of overcoming obstacles. For the familes of these children, there is a need for respite and compassion. At God's Little Acres we cater to these special children and their families. We have created a beautiful countryside retreat where spirits and smiles are replenished with each visit. World Vision – www.worldvision.orgTransforming the lives of the world's poorest children in nearly 100 countries, World Vision offers sponsorship of children, and provides food, water, health care, education, economic development, and emergency relief.

The Hawthornes are missionaries with Globe International and minister in South East Asia, a very sensitive part of the world. They have spent over 25 years on the mission field and raised their children in a foreign land in order to spread the gospel of Jesus. Among his peers in South Asia, McLean is a respected Bible teacher and trains up leaders to preach the gospel. He ministers regularly in churches and Bible schools on the Malaysian peninsula and travels to India, Myanmar (Burma), Bangladesh, Thailand, Singapore, and other South Asian countries. They teach the Word of God and facilitate national missionary trainers. If you would like to help with their financial support, please write “Hawthorne” on your tithing envelope and the money will be sent to them. The Hawthornes appreciate your prayer support. Strategic World Impact: Kevin Turner, Missionary
Strategic World Impact is a Christ-centered, faith-based, mission organization with a vision to work in areas where the body of Christ is persecuted, the Gospel is restricted, and where people face eternity each day because of the hostile situations they live in. For more information about Kevin Turner and his mission, go to www.swi.org
Christian Law Association is supported by Victory Christian Center on a monthly basis. CLA has served Bible-believing churches and Christians since 1969. CLA provides free legal services based in part on the generosity of God's people. The Christian Law Association is a "ministry of legal helps." Their purpose is to provide free legal assistance to Bible-believing churches and Christians who are experiencing legal difficulty in practicing their religious faith because of governmental regulation, intrusion, or prohibition of one form or another. Since 1969, the number of legal attacks on ministries has exploded. CLA receives in excess of 100,000 phone calls annually, not counting the thousands of correspondences from those who are in some way facing legal difficulties for doing what the Bible commands. These cases involve Christians arrested for witnessing to others in public, public school students being told they do not have the right to read their Bibles at school, churches being excluded from communities, Christians being fired for sharing their faith at work, and thousands of other shocking assaults on our precious religious freedoms. The Christian Law Association exists to preserve Christian liberty for your children and grandchildren.
VictoryChristian Center rents a room on the FAU campus through Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. The FAU Campus is a mission field in our own backyard. Students are being indoctrinated with secular humanism at every turn. Our presence on the FAU campus provides us with an opportunity to reach out to students with the love of Christ and the truth of the gospel. Our room is strategically located in a central location where students pass by and congregate between classes. It is room #157A on the east side of the Student Union and next to Night Owls. We have teachings and times of fellowship every day. Some of the things we are teaching on the campus are the “Truth Project”, “How to Gain God’s Favor & Blessings”, “The Message – A contemporary Look at God’s Word”, “Love, Sex & How to Have Lasting Relationships”, and much more.
Student Missions The Mission Board of Victory Christian Center helps provide funds for students desiring to go on short term mission trips with their school or a student mission organization. To apply for mission funds, please request the application form from the church office, fill it out, and return it to Cathy Karpinen. (Mission funds are available to youth who attend Victory Christian Center.)
